Immune Rapid Defense Gummies

Supporting good health has never been easier or more delicious. On July 14, Gaia Herbs will introduce its new, flavorful Immune Rapid Defense* gummies, with plant-powered ingredients to support your body’s immune response and keep you feeling your best.

These ginger-flavored gummies combine some of the most researched natural herbs and ingredients used in Herbalism for fast-acting immune support: organic Ginger, Echinacea, and Bee Propolis. They are sweetened with real organic fruit with just 2 grams of added sugar, an important consideration when choosing gummies as dietary supplements. Additionally, they are Certified USDA Organic*, purity-tested, vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, and dairy-free.

When you want to bounce back quickly from illness, Immune Rapid Defense* gummies make a great addition to your arsenal of natural wellness products.

A Powerful Combination of Immune Support Ingredients

Since Gaia Herbs was founded in 1987, the company has been guided by the principle that plants and people evolved together, that we are inextricably linked, and that plants hold the wisdom we need to heal.

In developing Immune Rapid Defense* gummies, Gaia Herbs turned to three well-researched plants and plant-based products to create a fast-acting formula that provides immune support when it is needed most.* These three ingredients offer impressive benefits for your health:

The Main Ingredient: Clinically-Studied Bee Propolis

Bee Propolis is a sticky substance bees make to fortify their hives and protect them from parasitic intruders, bacteria, and fungi. Bees make Propolis by gathering resins from leaf buds, sap flows in trees, and gums.

Thousands of studies have analyzed Bee Propolis’s bioactivity and health properties. Research suggests Propolis may protect against and limit the duration of mild upper respiratory infections, including the common cold and sinusitis caused by viruses or bacteria.*

Gaia Herbs’ proprietary Bee Propolis extract, Promunel®, was studied in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial of 122 healthy adults with a mild upper respiratory tract infection. The Propolis oral spray used in the trial eliminated symptoms in three days for 83 percent of the subjects — two days earlier than the subjects taking a placebo experienced relief from these symptoms. Propolis is believed to offer the following benefits:*

  • Antimicrobial action: Propolis contains bioactive compounds such as flavonoids and phenolic acids that exhibit broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity.
  • Immunomodulatory effects: Propolis has shown immunomodulatory properties and has been observed to enhance the activity of immune cells, including macrophages and lymphocytes, which play a vital role in fighting off infections.REF#2289
  • Anti-inflammatory properties: Propolis exhibits anti-inflammatory effects, which may help alleviate symptoms such as coughing, congestion, and sore throat by reducing inflammation in the respiratory tissues.*
  • Antioxidant activity: Propolis is rich in antioxidants, which help protect cells from oxidative stress caused by harmful free radicals.* Oxidative stress can weaken the immune system and contribute to respiratory infections.

The Propolis used in Gaia Herbs formulas is bee-friendly, cruelty-free, and sustainably sourced.

Echinacea May Support a Healthy Inflammatory Response to Illness

Native to North America, the Echinacea plant, with its striking pink and purple coneflowers, was used extensively by indigenous tribes for centuries and later by eclectic physicians in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It remains one of the most popular immune herbs today.*

Echinacea has been researched extensively with varying results. Gaia Herbs, which grows two species of Echinacea — Echinacea angustifolia and Echinacea purpurea — was awarded a grant by the National Institutes of Health to study the various constituents of Echinacea themselves.REF#2290 Gaia's research team discovered that alkylamides, found in the Echinacea root, support a healthy inflammatory response, which is critical for helping people feel better at the onset of an immune challenge.*

Based on the positive results of that and additional research, Echinacea root is used in Immune Rapid Defense* gummy formula to provide fast-acting immune support.

Ginger Plays a Supporting Role in Immune Response

Ginger has been shown in numerous clinical trials to support a healthy inflammatory response as well as to potentially increase immune response.REF#2291

While Ginger is widely used for digestive support, Gaia has included it in its gummy formula for whole-body wellness and extra support when you’re feeling off.*

Ginger is also used as the primary flavor in Immune Rapid Defense* to ensure the gummies are as flavorful as they are effective.
