    WHAT IS IT?

    Senna (Senna alexandrina) is a shrub native to North Africa and parts of Asia, known for its use in traditional herbal medicine as a natural laxative. The leaves and pods of the plant contain compounds called sennosides.

    WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

    Senna is commonly used to support bowel health by promoting regularity and relieving occasional constipation. It works by stimulating the muscles in the intestines to encourage healthy digestion.

    For optimal results

    Adults take 1 to 2 tablets with a glass of water in the evening. Maximum time of use 10 days.

    Not for use during pregnancy or lactation. NOTICE: This product contains Senna and Cape Aloe. Read and follow directions carefully. Do not use if you have or develop diarrhea, loose stools, or abdominal pain because Senna and Cape Aloe may worsen these conditions and be harmful to your health. Consult your healthcare practitioner if you have frequent diarrhea or if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition. Use as directed on label. Are your products Organic?

Gaia Herbs purchases Certified Organic ingredients when possible. If not Certified Organic, they are Ecologically Harvested. Ecologically Harvested herbs include herbs that are harvested in their natural habitat, (i.e., wild harvested) according to specific guidelines for harvesting these herbs (i.e., away from roads and industry, as well as guidelines to avoid overharvesting).

All Ecologically Harvested herbs must pass pesticide, heavy metals, and microbial testing prior to being used in our products.
