This holiday season, spice up your parties (or an average Tuesday) with these herbal mocktails. Supporting your health while celebrating with loved ones never tasted so good!* From Echinacea to Gotu Kola, Skullcap to Ginseng, these fancy drinks feature some of our favorite liquid herbal extracts.
Whether you sip on one as you wrap gifts or as you ring in the new year, these libations are merry and bright, ideal for the holidays and all winter long!
Restore Your Cool Iced Cocoa
Cool down with this holiday-inspired iced cocoa. This drink is perfect for those nights when you can't decide between a fancy beverage and dessert!
Serves 1
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tablespoons dark cocoa powder, plus more to garnish
- 2 teaspoons raw honey
- 1 serving Turmeric Boost® Restore or Golden Milk
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1 candy cane, crushed, for garnish
Directions:
- Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender; blend until thoroughly combined and then chill for approximately 1 hour before serving.
- When ready to serve, place crushed candy cane on a small plate. Wet the outside rim of a chilled martini (or similar style) glass. Hold the glass by the base or stem and rotate the rim in the candy cane to coat.
- Remove the Iced Cocoa from the refrigerator, and shake or stir well to combine before serving. Pour mixture into glass and serve cold or over ice. Sprinkle with cocoa powder.
Grapefruit-Echinacea "Margarita"
Smoky, spicy, and tingly (thanks to the Echinacea), this grapefruit mocktail will soon become your signature drink. Sip on it for support all through the winter immune season.*
Serves 1
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
- 2 tablespoons honey syrup (see recipe below)
- 40 drops Certified Organic Echinacea Supreme Liquid Herbal Extract
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1/8 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup seltzer
- Rosemary sprig, for garnish
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients except for seltzer in a shaker and shake well, until combined.
- Add seltzer, and stir to combine.
- Fill glass with ice.
- Pour grapefruit mixture over ice, and garnish with rosemary sprig.
Christmas Kale-Ito
Dress up your kale-ito with a few simple ingredients, plus Ginseng for energy support and Gotu Kola to support mental alertness.*
Serves 1
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup ginger beer
- 1/4 cup kale juice (about 4 large leaves, juiced)
- 1/4 cup cucumber juice (about 1/2 small cucumber, juiced)
- 2 tablespoons honey syrup (see recipe below)
- 1 tablespoon lime, fresh squeezed
- 40 drops American Ginseng Liquid Herbal Extract
- 30 drops Certified Organic Gotu Kola Liquid Herbal Extract
- Lime peel twist, for garnish
- Optional: sea salt for rimming glasses
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients and stir well to combine.
- Rim chilled glass with sea salt (optional).
- Fill glass with ice.
- Pour mixture over ice, and garnish with lime peel twist and serve.
Blood Orange Spritzer
This sparkling spritzer combines two favorite winter fruits, blood oranges and pomegranates, for a sweet and tangy sip. We add Skullcap to support a sense of calm.*
Serves 1
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup seltzer
- 1/4 cup blood orange juice
- 1/4 cup pomegranate juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey syrup (recipe below)
- 30-40 drops Certified Organic Skullcap Liquid Herbal Extract
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: citrus salt for rimming the glass, orange zest, and pomegranate arils
Directions:
- Fill glass with ice.
- In a shaker combine blood orange, pomegranate, lemon, honey, Skullcap and vanilla extract to combine.
- Add seltzer, and stir well to combine.
- Rim glasses with citrus salt (optional).
- Pour mixture into glass over ice, and garnish with orange zest and pomegranate arils.
Honey Syrup
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons water
Directions:
- Add honey to a small pot, heat honey, and add water.
- Stir until combined and let cool. Makes 1/4 cup.
