DIY Coconut scrub in jar with pine needles and flower petals to side

There's nothing better than a gift that comes from the heart, especially if it's one that you made yourself. Today I'm sharing one of my favorite simple DIY beauty recipes that, of course, uses herbs. I use Rose petals and Rosemary saved from my garden, but you can easily source those ingredients if need be. Since you are using this scrub on your skin - your largest organ and one of your primary detoxification organs - be sure to choose organic ingredients.

The scent of roses conjures images of beauty and love, while Rosemary is the herb for rememberance.

In winter, between central heating and windy weather, our skin goes through a lot. Regular exfoliation helps shed the old, dead skin and allows the soft, supple new skin to flourish. This simple scrub uses salt to facilitate the exfoliation, with moisturizing coconut oil, which also smells delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unrefined coconut oil
  • 2/3 cup coarse sea salt
  • 1/2 cup ground dried rose petals
  • 1/4 cup ground dried rosemary leaves
